Experience: 25+ years as a business and creative team leader for branding and communication programs; founder and president of Langton Creative Group; previous manager of corporate communications at HomeLife Insurance Company; co-author of Visual Marketing (Wiley Publishers), a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design; adjunct professor at Hostos College/CUNY and Fashion Instititute of Technology (FIT).

Bet you didn’t know: David once designed wallpaper with New Yorker cartoons for the lobby of the Algonquin Hotel where he proposed to his wife, Shelley.

With 25+ years as a business and creative team leader for branding and communication programs, David is founder and president of Langton Creative Group (formerly Langton Cherubino Group). He is an experienced creative director who has led communication projects for Fortune 500 companies and was previously manager of corporate Communications at HomeLife Insurance Company. He serves as a consultant for leaders and marketing executives of growing businesses.

Langton Creative Group was the creator of the award-winning national wellness program, Healthy Pfizer; videos for Deloitte’s Greenhouse, Business Chemistry and Wicked Problems initiatives; six annual reports for Reading Health System; and a new logo and branding system for Renaissance Capital, featured at the NYSE opening bell. Pro-bono work for Hope’s Door (Northern Westchester Women’s Shelter) won a $10,000 grant from Sappi Ideas That Matter for the “Love Shouldn’t Hurt” teen abuse education.

David’s work is featured in Designing for the Greater Good: The Best in Cause-Related Marketing and Nonprofit Design (HarperCollins). He is co-author of Visual Marketing (Wiley Publishers) and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design.

David is currently an adjunct professor at Hostos College/CUNY where he has taught courses in communication design, typography, and media studies for over 10 years.

Experience: 15+ years as a creative leader for branding and publication design at Langton Creative Group where he has designed new brands and created communications plans for dozens of clients including Healthy Pfizer, New England Asset Management and Deloitte; a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.

Bet you didn’t know: Jim’s chocolate bourbon truffles won first place in the East Village Nowhere Amateur Bake Off Challenge. And yes, the award was for presentation.

Jim has 15+ years as a creative leader for branding and publication design at Langton Creative Group where he has designed new brands and created communications plans for dozens of clients including Healthy Pfizer, New England Asset Management and Deloitte. Jim’s logo and communication program for The Internet Fund is featured in Logos: Making A Strong Mark (Rockport Press). He has won every major design award including honors from AIGA, Print, Communication Arts and Graphis International.

Jim is an experienced designer who has created award-winning solutions for Fortune 500 clients such as Pfizer, Siemens, Hess, Credit Suisse and Verizon. His design for the Global Employee Annual Report for Mercer won the Great Design Show International Competition, and he received the American Design Award for his presentation of the Annaly Mortgage annual report. Jim designed the Olstein Capital Management identity that is included in The Big Book of Logos #5 edited by David E. Carter.

In addition, he created the new identity for New England Asset Management, winner of the Communicator Award. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.

Branding and Naming Strategist

Julie provides branding strategies for communication platforms, develops naming and tagline content, and produces client immersion workshops.

Julie has collaborated with Langton Creative Group on many initiatives including the American College of Physicians (ACP), the nation’s second largest physician trade organization; Private Prep, an educational services company named by Inc. Magazine as a Top 5000 Fastest Growing Companies; and New England Asset Management, a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary. She is the Founder and CEO of BrandTwist, a brand consultancy that helps entrepreneurs and corporations build stronger, more profitable brands. She is the author of TWIST: How Fresh Perspectives Build Breakthrough Brands.

Prior to founding BrandTwist, Julie served as the VP of Brand for Richard Branson’s Virgin Group as well as the Executive Director of Consumer Branding for Interbrand, a leading global Brand Consultancy. Julie has been an Adjunct Professor of Integrated Marketing Communications at Columbia and Cornell Universities and is a frequent commentator on brand strategy and innovation in top business media such as Forbes. com, Entrepreneur Magazine and CNN.

Maria provides market positioning, strategic thinking and content marketing.

Maria led the marketing communication initiative with Langton Creative Group on Moody’s KMV; created the market positioning and elevator speeches for IPRO; and wrote the 20th anniversary content for the Primary Care Development Corporation. She is Principal of MJ Lilly Associates, LLC, a strategic communications consultancy specializing in the development of branding and integrated marketing programs. Previously, she spent three years as Executive Vice President and General Manager at Edelman Worldwide and two years as Managing Director of the marketing group at Gavin Anderson & Company.

Maria is a cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Albany with a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications. Active in professional and civic organizations, she has served on the Advisory Board to the Ageno Business School at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, the marketing committee of MCC Theater and has provided pro-bono services to an array of marketing and communications industry non-profits.

Amanda is our content strategist who most recently led efforts for Private Prep, an educational specialist; New England Asset Management (NEAM) an asset manager focused on the insurance industry; and Ladas & Parry, the IP law firm that recently celebrated its 100th year anniversary. She is a sought-after content strategist and former Forbes.com contributor who was trained as an attorney and became a serial entrepreneur. Amanda specializes in building companies and teams, organizing operations and producing integrated marketing plans, national advertising campaigns and complex websites.

Deb uses creative and analytic skills to help both large companies and nonprofits to define media and technology solutions that change the game they are playing.

Deborah Brozina’s experience in three vastly different worlds - management consulting, technology development, and film production – position her perfectly to guide clients who want to benefit from this media and technology convergence. Deb uses creative and analytic skills to help both large companies and entrepreneurs to define media and technology solutions that change the game they are playing.  Her clients include media conglomerates, large multinational financial institutions and pharmaceutical companies, as well as leading nonprofits.  Her focus on achievable strategies and reliable execution has allowed her clients to take the lead in new markets and permanently lower long-term costs by as much as 20%.

With an engineering degree in Operations Research and an MBA in management and international business, it was logical for Deb to pursue a career in management consulting and technology.  However, it was her passion and creativity – as well as her multitasking skills - that drove her to pursue a career in film at the same time.  She developed a parallel path as a camera assistant; working on films such as Mighty Aphrodite, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Insider and TV shows such as NYPD Blue, and Spin City. As media and technology converge, Deb can create content, manage technology and show you the money.

Debby is a word sculptor who crafts written content to capture the unique story for each website, marketing piece, or business strategy.

With 25+ years of sales and marketing experience, Debby has earned state and national marketing director awards in the homebuilding industry. As an entrepreneur, she turned a lifelong passion for writing into a fulfilling business venture, providing written content for a variety of companies and organizations. Debby’s published works include a biography (In the Middle of the Line) and three stories in the See More Park children’s book series. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in English and currently serves on the department’s advisory committee.

In 2011, Debby served as promotional director of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Project for a Delaware homebuilder, assembling a team that achieved over $300K in donations for the week-long endeavor—while overcoming an earthquake, a hurricane and a tornado.
